Gosh, what was Life without facebook? I have heard this expression from many friends and relatives..It's funny cause I have also thought about this in the past months..I know it sounds weired, but now with just one click you enter into this facebook world, and in just seconds you are an expectator of weddings, births, baby-shower, bachelor parties, trips of your friends and relatives..
I don't know when all this started, but for me it started like 3 years ago, when on a boring work day, a norweigan colleague told me I should join Facebook..! I was Face..what? I had just moved to Switzerland and he kindly suggested that by joining facebook, I would be in contact with my friends and familiy, through an easier way.....
Anyway, after a while I forgot about the whole Facebook issue, but suddenly I was aware I was missing out a lot during the conversations with my colleagues during work...what was all this they were talking about?? tagged...., friend requests, news feed...etc...and suddenly the temptation came...I joined facebook and got in touch with tons of old high school and university friends, became a fan of many artists, joined causes and spend hours and hours posting pictures, writing on other people's walls and exchanging messages ...As my norweigan colleague predicted some months before: "You will spend hours and hours on this..."
Today, I'm at the point where I reflect on what facebook is bringing for my personal, spiritual, intellectual growth...I guess not much...It's simply fun, procastinating and distracting..Will I quit for good or will continue with this wave? let's see where it leads me..:)
